EQUIPMENT
is a tool that is used when there is danger
on the ship or a tool that is used to give
help to people falling into the sea
1. LIFE BOUY

life buoy is safety equipment to help people sink in the water.

The buoy is shaped like a car tire. This buoy will be discharged
into the sea if one passenger falls into the sea. This buoy must
have a striking color to be easily recognized.
2. LIFE JACKET

This life jacket is used by passengers to float on the sea during

emergencies. life jackets must also have a striking color so that
they are easily seen. This jacket must be equipped with a whistle
attached to the rope to attract the attention of a helper.
3. LIFE RAFT

liferaft is one of the most safety equipment devices on ships that

are sailing, especially on ships that carry passengers. Liferaft is a
term for a rubber boat with a protective tent and is equipped
with medicine, food and beverage supplies for emergencies.
4. LIFE BOAT

Life boat used to save so many people in danger. Lifeboats in

the form of small boats located on the right and left of the ship
or rather on the deck of the lifeboat.
5. IMMERSION SUITE

immersion suite used as a protector and prevent body

temperature down due to cold sea water.
6. LINE THROWING APPARATUS

Line throwing apparatus used as a link between victims and

helpers that facilitate the approach process, can also be used for
other purposes.

 
7. PYROTECHNIS

Pyrotechnis used as a sign of danger when the survivor sees a

rescue ship. This gesture can only be seen by the eyes during
the day using floating smoke.
8. THERMAL PROTECTIVE AID

Thermal Protective Aid used as body armor, reducing heat

loss. usually used when in the life raft
9. FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Fire extinguisher is a safety equipment

used to extinguish small fires on ship.
10. HELMET

Helmet is a safety equipment to protect the head from

the collision of objects on the ship.
11. EPIRB

Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon When the ship

sinks this tool automatically detaches from its stand and floats
on the surface of the water and automatically also transmits
signals captured by the INMARSAT (International Mobile
Satellite Organization) satellite and forwarded to the coast
station, so that it can immediately know the position of the ship
that needs help.
12. RESCUE BOAT

Rescue boat is used for people falling into the sea fast
and agile movements make this one tool as a mainstay
for saving victims who fell into the water.
13. FIRST AID KIT

First aid kit is a safety equipment used when the victim is

injured
14. FLARE GUN

Flare gun is a light gun to signal an emergency position after

falling into the water
15. BREATHING APPARATUS

Breathing apparatus is a respirator when there is a fire on the

ship or when there are victims who lack oxygen on the ship.
