PENGENALAN FORKLIFT

•Forklift yang lazim disebut “ Forklift Truck “ adalah sebuah

alat yang terdiri dari body ( badan ) dan work equipment
yang dipergunakan untuk mengangkat barang dan dapat
memindahkan barang tersebut ke suatu tempat serta
menyusunnya dimana barang itu dipindahkan.

•Forklift pada dasarnya ada dua buah fork ( garpu ) yang

dipasang pada mast dan dapat digerakan naik / turun serta
miring kedepan / belakang. Gerakan – gerakan tadi
dioperasikan dengan tenaga hidrolic.

• Untuk menaikan dan menurunkan serta menyusun
barang diperlukan seorang operator yang memilikai
pengetahuan tentang arti keselamatan kerja dan trampil
dalam mengoperasikan forklift tersebut.

• Kemampuan angkat forklift sesuai besar kecilnya

kapasitas forklift tersebut dengan kemampuan maksimum

TERMINOLOGI FORKLIFT

a. Load adalah beban aman yang dapat diangkat sesuai

anjuran pabrik, terletak dibagian depan forklift
( SWL = Safe Working Load )

b. Fulcrum adalah titik tumpu antara bagian depan

dengan bagian belakang dimana forklift dapat
mengalami keseimbangan.

c. Counter balance adalah berat pengimbang daripada

barang yang diangkat termasuk berat counter weight,
tangki solar, oli, dan engine serta semua perlengkapan
yang ada dibagian belakang roda depan.

d. Distance adalah jarak antara titik tengah barang dengan
sandaran.

e. Counter weight adalah pemberat yang ada dibagian

belakang forklift sebagai pengimbang tambahan dan
komponen – komponen forklift lainnya.

f. Back rest adalah sandaran beban pada belakang garpu

agar komponen yang ada dibelakang garpu tidak rusak
tertekan oleh barang.

g. Fork / Garpu adalah alat utama yang digunakan untuk

mengambil dan memindahkan barang.

jika kunci dilepaskan.
Putar kunci ke posisi OFF untuk mematikan engine.
