The education landscape of India has been transformed by a series of developments in new-age
pedagogies. Use of technology in education is one of the milestone in these direction. This has
result in opening up of number of EdTech (education & technology) industry in the country.
Accelerated growth :

Growing internet penetration and availability of cheaper smart phones with affordable data
packages created a demand for quality education through various learning platforms. Before the
pandemic, the digital adoptions were taking place largely through MOOCs, distance learning and
job search. After the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, with closure of institutions and wider
adoption of online education, the demand for EdTech products increase multi-fold. As a result, the
whole EdTech sector witnessed an boom growth in terms of user base, inflow of investment and
acquisition.
         .     
Industry:

    According to the Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and the PGA
Labs report, India's education sector might witness a growth to US$ 225 billion by  2025.
As EdTech companies are all pouncing on the opportunity to gain the biggest market
share, there could be a surge of EdTech companies in the sector. At present over 4,530
edtech start-ups are operating in India, out of which 435 have come about in past 24
months. However, except these few unicorns such as Byju's, Vedantu, Unacademy, Lido
Learning, Toppers, many of the fresh start-ups are finding it difficult to sustain themselves
in the market either because of poor business model or inadequate funds. On the other
hand government iniatitives like SWAYAM (study webs of active learning for young
aspirant minds), an online platform run by Ministry of Education, had made a very
positive impact on the EdTech industry.
Company Profile : Lido Learning

 Lido Learning is an EdTech company that revolutionizes education through an immersive online
platform for every child in India. With their exciting and fun live online classes for students, it builds
cutting edge content like animated videos and interactive games, a personalized platform for
homework, tests, challenges, and inspiring teachers. It provides interactive content to keep the
students engaged and a personalized platform to improve result.
 Lido Learning was founded in 2019 by CEO & Founder Sahil Sheth and is headquartered
in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
 Lido Learning has raised a total of $20.5M in funding over 4 rounds. Their latest funding was raised
on sep 10,2021 from a series A round. Lido learning is funded by 11 investors.
9Unicorns Accelerator Fund and Unilazer Ventures are the most recent investors.
 Lido Learning uses 23 technology product and services including HTML5, Google Analytics, and
jQuery, according to G2 Stack.

 SCP (School Contact Program) :


   For these particular program or task we had to visit the schools and collages from standard
1-12. So that we can have a direct contact with the school authorities, and can explain them
each and every detail about the Cooding Bootcamp that company was offering to students of
standard 1-12 free of cost. Secondly I took the seminar for the students for participation .
Webinar as some students were not attending schools physically. OMR sheets distribution for
participation or registration. Generating leads from school from Airatable link. Calling and
massaging students contact. These SCP aim was to reach-out Grade-A school but along with
that it was more important to reach out school in rural areas of the cities so that students from
small school won't miss-out the opportunity.

Conclusion :

 Indian market: In India EdTech platform is increasing day by day. LIDO learning captures
the customers by its innovative features of their products. They are spread over the big
city area of India.
 SCP: school contact program has helped company to reach-out not only urban area but
also schools in rural area too.
 Adopting newer environment: As an government initiative for E-learning and SWAYAM
has also made people to give preference to EdTech platform.
Limitations of the study:

 Large area to be covered.


 Time limitations as schools are open for only one session.
 Lack of interest from school Principal/Management in some cases.
Scope For Future research/work :

 Low cost of Online Education.


 Government's Digital initiative to promote E-learning.
 Growing internet Userbase .
 Increase number of EdTech startup.
