OBJECTIVES:
• To orient the writers and evaluators on the prescribed
template, specifications and workshops based Learning
Activity Sheets (LAS)

• To equip the LAS Development Team with the needed


knowledge, skills and positive attitudes (KSA) toward
producing MELC – based LAS for learners’ use in the
different teaching delivery modalities.
10 FRIENDLY REMINDERS
1. TITLE FORMAT skill with ing e.g. ADDING Similar fractions from the MELCs.
2.Format margin top left right 1 bottom 0.8 calibri 11 font 1.5 line space.
3. (3) Activities (NOT EXERCISES) for slow average fast but do not label
4.Let learners perform tasks if the competencies call for it.
Let them do practical works using available mats.
Develop multiple intelligences.
Integrate some indicators from COT in any of the activity.
For difficult competency apply explicit presentation of background info.
Use creative strategies/techniques to break monotonous and boring LAS contents.
Let the learners manipulate, measure if necessary.
Contextualize problem situations. Make connections within and across the curriculum.
Use puzzles or graphic organizers for concepts/ideas.
Provide activities considering the diversity of learners. (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3)
Make them interesting to the learners.
5.Directions use simple words, clear and direct statements.
6.Use Rubrics with criteria if necessary. Use Answer Key not key to corrections in upside
down position.

7.Reflection you can vary the presentation using call outs, temperature check of the level of
understanding/ emoticons. This part is cooling down for gathering feedback and feel your
learners.
8.Frame question/activities  in different types. Provide variation multiple choice, completing
the sentence matching type essay etc.
Provide online references/resources for learners on online classes if any.
9.Keep in mind our twin goals to produce learners who are critical thinkers and problem
solvers.
The 8 mathematical skills/processes (computing solving proving decision making analyzing
visualizing etc.
10.Make our LAS learner friendly to make them love Mathematics.
Reduce math anxiety, retain/repeaters.

Terms of Reference
1. Writers shall write the LAS (assigned week for Q1&Q2 with technical
assistance from team leader/content editor/District QA Team
2. Submit the LAS to the Language editors/English teachers for language
editing.
3. Writers integrate and revise the LAS. Team Leaders/Content Editors check the
LAS. Team Leaders forward the LAS to the reviewers.
4. Reviewers shall evaluate the LAS using the evaluation tool. Then return the
LAS to the team leaders. TL return LAS to writers for revision (if any) and
finalization. (Follow schedule for critiquing invite FAB for Div QA)
5.Team leaders submit the LAS to IT incharge for packaging.
6. Final look of the packaged LAS for some editing (content/language).
8.IT team shall help in the packaging of the division LAS for sharing in all
schools in the division and shall manage the google drive links and in charge of
documentation.
You can have your google meet in your group if necessary. Keep in mind the
TIMELINE. YOU CAN DO IT for our ALBAYANO LEARNERS.
