KATIPUNAN
✣A society “born” from the actions of the filipino masonry
✣Founded by Andres Bonifacio on the night of July 7, 1892
■ Reason: due to the oppression of the Spanish authorities
and friars in the Philippines
■ Aim: to completely break away from Spain and create a
new government
✣Governed by the Supreme Council called Kataastaasang
Sanggunian or simply Sanggunian
