- Passport is an important part of the Chinese Bureaucracy as early as
Western Han and in Qin Dynasty
- They required such details as age, height, and bodily figures
- The passport is known as "Zhuan"
- In Medieval Caliphate, they used a passport known as " Bara'a"
( "zakah" for Muslims and "jizya" for Dhimmis)
- King Henry V of England is credited with having invented what
some consider the first passport in the modern sense.
- Earliest record found in 1414 Act of Parliament
1540: Granting travel documents in England became a role of Privy
Council of England.
WWI: Europeans introduced border passport requirements for
security reasons
1914: The British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act was passed
clearly defining notion of citizenship and creating a booklet form of the
passport

Briefing before Ticket Release:

1.Review the flight itinerary with the passenger.
2.Inform the passenger of the restrictions of the ticket, if
any, such as validity, rebooking penalties, endorsable, etc.
3.Advise the passenger of his free baggage allowance for
checked in baggage, as well as carry-on baggage.
4.Advise the check in time, departure time and departure
terminal.
5.Recap the seat number that has been confirmed, as well as
any special meal requested.

6.Check the passenger's required documents, if any, and
provide additional pertinent information if necessary.
7.Remind the passenger of the terminal fee that has to be
paid after check in.
8.Remind the passenger to keep all his boarding cards and copy
of electronic ticket in case his air miles are not credited to his
account.
9.Remind that passenger that reconfirmation is usually not
required but it is best to always reconfirm onward/return
bookings.
10. Wish the passenger a pleasant trip!
