Day 4
 Evolution of Organism on Earth
1. Based on findings how old is the
earth when life began?
 Base on scientist’s findings life began on Earth 3.5
billion years ago and life evolved into different
forms for organisms.
2. What is the meaning of taxa?
 Taxaare a taxonomic group of any rank, such as a
species, family, or class
3. What are the 2 primitive bacteria that
undergo symbiosis to form a more
complex cell that we know today?
 Soon, new life forms that use oxygen came to be.
Bacterial life soon started to become diverse and
give to more life to form. There is compelling
evidence that mitochondria and chloroplasts were
once primitive bacterial cells.
4. What is the meaning of symbiosis?
 Symbiosis occurs when two different species
benefit from living and working together.
5. How was the condition of Earth 4
billion years ago?
 Conditions on Earth 4 billion years ago were very
different than they are today. The atmosphere
lacked oxygen, and an ozone layer did not yet
protect Earth from harmful radiation. Heavy rains,
lightning, and volcanic activity were common.
