PRESENTATION OF DATA

 Presentation of data refers to an exhibition or


putting up data in an attractive and useful
manner such that it can be easily interpreted
Data may be presented in (3 Methods)

• TEXTUAL
• TABULAR OR
• GRAPHICAL
BAR GRAPHS
The pictorial
representation of grouped
data, in the form of
vertical or horizontal
rectangular bars, where
the lengths of the bars are
equivalent to the measure
of data, are known as bar
graphs or bar charts.
HISTOGRAMS
• A histogram is the
graphical representation
of data where data is
grouped into continuous
number ranges and each
range corresponds to a
vertical bar.
FREQUENCY CURVE
• Variables is taken along the X axis and
frequencies along Y axis
• Frequencies are plotted against mid values
and then , these points are joined by smooth
curve
• The curve is so obtained is frequency curve
• Total area under this curve represents total
frequency
FREQUENCY POLYGON
• Variables is taken along X axis and frequencies
along Y axis
• Class frequencies are plotted against the class
mid values and then these points are joined by
straight line
• The figure is so obtained is frequency polygon
