INTRODUCTION
The seal of asphalt slurry ("slurry seal") is one of the
techniques of preservation of pavements that has been used
more widely worldwide, because it is a treatment that allows to
extend the useful life of a pavement at low cost, which implies

DEFINITION

Slurry seal is a mixture of asphalt emulsion, mineral aggregates, water and additives. It is a
cost-effective preventative maintenance treatment that extends the life of the road surface while
causing the least amount of inconvenience to travelers and residents.

Type I: passing 2,36 mm, sieve No 8

Type II: passing 4,75 mm, sieve No 4

Type III: passing 9,5 mm, sieve No 3/8
