What is a research title?
✔ The title summarizes the main idea or ideas of your study.
✔ A good title contains the fewest possible words needed to
adequately describe the content and/or purpose of your
research paper.

1. The title has to be explicit and indicative of the subject
(topic).
2. The title must provide a clear and appropriate description
of the focus of the study.
3. The title should be concise while unambiguously
reflecting the exact topic of the thesis/dissertation. 17
