PAST TENSE Auxiliar: Did
FORMA AFIRMATIVA. Sujeto + verbo en Infinitivo sin usar “to” + Ed
Ejemplo:
I played chess. Jugué al ajedrez.
I loved her. Yo la quería.

FORMA NEGATIVA. Sujeto + Did not, + verbo en infinitivo.


* El auxiliar es DID (pasado de DO); “Did not” contrae en didn´t
Ejemplos:
I didn’t go out. No salí.
We didn´t arrive on time No llegamos a tiempo.

FORMA INTERROGATIVA. Did + Sujeto + verbo en Infinitivo.

PARA VERBOS REGULARES: son las acciones que en pasado se escriben casi de la
misma manera que en presente, solo se les agrega "ed" de acuerdo a estas reglas:
A) "en cuanto a su escritura", se les agrega "ed" al final para convertirlas en pasado.
Ask (ask) (preguntar, pedir). . . . . Asked (askt) (pregunto, pidió).
Work (work) (trabajar). . . . . . . . .worked (workt) (trabajo).

B) Cuando su escritura termine en "e", solo se le aumenta al final la "d".


Receive (riciv) (recibir). . . . . . Received (recivd) (recibió).
Arrive (awraiv) (llegar). . . . . . Arrived (awraivd) (llegó).

C) cuando termine en "y", y antes de esta va una consonante, entonces, se cambia


la "y" por "ied"; pero si antes de la "y" va una vocal, entonces solo se agrega "ed".
