MY 10 THEMES

Throughout my personal and profession leadership journey I have done a lot of

work with different teams and on myself. I have taken many personal and
professional tests that have given me supportive data in areas where I need to
improve and areas I already shine in and should continue to develop in. I have
taken the data from these tests as well as data from experiences and reflections I
have written about during my organization leadership career. The next several
slides will display 10 themes for my journey that I have developed along with
supportive data from the listed sources in the previous slides.
THEME 1: FAMILY

Theme Statement: My family is an important part of my life that bring me a lot of joy

Supportive Data:
• Family- My family is my support system. They encourage me. They challenge me and they pray for me. I need all three of
these things. I feel more empowered when my family see my work and is proud. *LCA
• Fun- I Love to have fun. It is so important to laugh and to feel weightless sometimes. I love o play games with my family
and friends just to let my goofy side out and to laugh and get those chemicals flowing. *LCA
•  My family is very important to me. I have 3 sisters that I am very close with. *EP481
• Adventurers’ greatest strength is arguably the joy they take in being with and helping their loved ones. *16P
• I am most naturally content when I am with my family. *YDC

Contradictory evidence: There are no contradictory evidence to this theme because my family has been the foundation of
my accomplishments and the support system throughout my failures.

Reflection: my family has always challenged me to be better and do more. They have supported me in my good time and
through my bad moments. I would not be where I am without the examples I’ve had and the love I have received from them.
I am very much so an introvert. They know this about me, so they know what kind of push I need to take me to the next
level. My data shows how important having my family’s support and love is to me.
THEME 2: FAITH

Theme Statement: My faith in God has gotten me to the highest points in life and through the lowest
ones

Supportive data:
• Spirituality- This is important to me as I depended on my faith to keep my grounded and productive. *LCA
• I find that meditation on the Word of God has helped me through the hardest times. *OGL365
• You are most likely to let your heart guide you which can lead to passionate decisions. *DST
• My faith is most important to me. This is how I have been able to get through these last 4 years. *EP481
• They have a keen sense of right and wrong, especially in their area of interest and/or responsibility. They are noted for
devotion to duty. *JTT
• Their SJ orientation draws the ISTJ into the service of established institutions. Home, social clubs, government, schools,
the military, churches.* JTT
Contradictory evidence: There are no contradictory evidence. My faith is what guides me in all my decisions and is value the
does not change for anything
Reflection: I have given my heart to Christ and am committed to allow my faith to keep me in God’s will so that I am able to
carry out the plan he has for my life. I believe that because of this, my life has been able to impact those around me. I want to
have a positive impact on the lives of those around me.
THEME 3: INDEPENDENCE ON JOB

Theme Statement: I want to be trusted to do the work and make the best decisions for
the business
Supportive Data:
• Eights are motivated by their desire to be independent and in control. *DST
• Having independence in my job means that I am trusted to make many decisions on my own and do not have to
constantly report to a supervisor. *SWVI
• Need to do things their own way, in their own time, and independent of others to the greatest extent possible. *CAA
• Primary Career Anchor: Independence(65). *CAA
• Key personality of the 8’s: Key Personality Traits of the 8: Independent and self-sufficient. *TET
Contradictory evidence: Since I was able to understand the benefits of collaboration it was no longer an "I'll just do it
when I need to," it became something I wanted to do as often as I can.*EP481
Reflection: While I have value independence my whole life, I have come to understand the value of collaboration of a team.
I am self motivated, so I do not look for kudos from leadership. I do, however, enjoy collaborating with a team. I enjoy
learning new things from them.
THEME 4: MAKING AN IMPACT

Theme Statements: The decision I make will affect everyone around me. I want to make sure I make the right
ones so that my life only makes theirs better.

others. *LCA

• This did not translate into my personal life, unfortunately, but if adjusting my teaching style will help people
understand something better, I was down to try it. *LIN
• Challengers are set to make an impact and won’t back down. *TET

Contradictory evidence: There is none. I have stayed consistent on having an open mind on accepting people as
they are and fighting for what is right, especially for those that cannot fight themselves.
Reflection: I have always wanted my life to stand for something. I want to leave a legacy on earth when I leave it. I
want the people around me know that I can and will fight for/with them when they need me. Having this as a value
has caused a lot of people to seek me out. I have had opportunities to speak at different events on the subject of Black
Lives Matter.
THEME 5: GOAL ORIENTED

Theme Statement: Having a goal gives me something to work towards and gives me a sense of accomplishment when
it’s completed.

Supportive data:
• As a leader, I do think it is important to foster a mastery goal-oriented perspective among employees within the company.
*AGOW
• Goal-oriented and self-competent, challengers trail blaze boldly through all walks of life and take great pride in their
independence and sharp minds. *TET
• Your responses indicate that you value self-focused goals more than other-focused goals. *DST
• My goal orientation that best describe me is the high mastery/high performance. I can say this is fairly accurate. *AGOW
• I pursue what will get me closer to reaching my goal and avoid what will prevent me from reaching my goal. *DST
Contradictory Evidence: There is none. I am always focused on the goals I have for myself. I like to have something to go
after. Once my goal is complete, I make another one.
Reflection: I am very proud in being goal oriented. It is easy for me to stay focused when I have a goal to move toward.
This is not only in my professional like but also in my personal life. When I have things I need to get done around the house
I make sure I have a plan to get them done.
THEME 6: CONFIDENT

Theme Statement: My confidence comes from continued education and experiences in life and work

Supportive Data:
• They present a confident, assertive, and decisive image to others. *TET
•  The opinions of others will have absolutely no effect on their standings upon an issue, as they pride themselves on being fully
capable and self-sufficient. *TET
• You are unlikely to cave to unwelcome social pressures when it comes to making your important decisions. *DST
• I had not don’t that in years, but it was nice to show my skill of adapting to my environment. *LIN
• Confident in language, art, music, drama, and writing skills. Solves problems by using intuition, expressiveness, and originality.
*KSCA
Contradictive evidence: I felt ashamed. I did not want my district manager to think I was an incapable leader and would not be a
good asset to her team. *LIN My confidence level was very low and when I began to take care of actual customers face to face.
*YDC
Reflection: I had a lot of moments in the beginning of my journey where my confidence was deeply bruised. I am grateful I had
leaders by my side that taught me how to reflect, dust it off, and continue moving towards my next goal. I can say that now I can be the
type of leader that teaches others to do the same. I have confidence in my abilities because I know the source of all of them come from,
Christ.
THEME 7: SELF MOTIVATED

Theme Statement: Self motivation has gotten me through some of the hardest times of
my life and keeps me pushing through.

• The ISTJ’s main and most admirable strength is perseverance; people of this type simply do not give up. *JTT
• People who score high in the Independence cluster should look for jobs where they are left to do things on own
initiative. *MPA
Contradictory Evidence: There is no evidence to suggest that I am not self motivated. I have had to be independent
and learn how to pat myself on the back starting at a young age and I believe this has carried into my professional life.
Reflection: One of the disadvantages of being self motivated is that I have a hard time taking positive feedback serious
from my leaders. I take their positive feedback as “they just don’t want to hurt my feelings.” This has made it hard for
me to get positive feedback when I may struggle to do it myself. I know that I need to do better with taking positive
feedback as truth.
THEME 8: INTROVERSION

Theme Statement: I have always been introverted and have found a healthy balance between being alone and
being around other people

•  I will agree with it in this assessment because it describes it as me losing a considerable amount of energy after
having much interaction with other people. *YDC

(Introverted). *JTT
• One disadvantage of prioritizing growth is that you may have more trouble maintaining stable relationships over
long periods of time. DST
• My energy level was so low that when I got home from work I would sleep for the rest of the day. *OGL220
Contradictive Evidence: People who are high in Agreeableness experience a great deal of empathy and tend to get
pleasure out of serving and taking care of others. *Big 5
Reflection: I think I have a good balance between introversion and extraversion. I do need a nice break when I have
been around a lot of energy at one time, but when I am around of energy, I thoroughly enjoy it. Moving forward in
life I would love to be able figure out a way to be able to take on more energy at once. I do know that being
introverted does keep me away from big groups more than an I’d like.
THEME 9: LEADING

Theme Statement: Leading was not a passion for me until I saw what true leadership could do in the lives of those
around you.

• Though I was exhausted throughout the entire time I was hosting, I couldn’t help but run off the energy of how
proud I was of my team and my leadership. *LIN

a respectable man that knew how to lead effectively. *YDC
• This type is not shy when it comes to taking the lead and making tough decisions.*TET
• This kind of leadership will pay off, Jenna. *LIN
Contradictory Evidence: I did not have what it took to lead. *LIN I began to think leadership was not for me. *LIN
Reflection: I experienced leadership at an early age. It was a toxic type of leadership. I am grateful for the leaders
who saw the leadership capabilities in me and did not assume I had the same ones as my mother and grandfather. Thy
took the time to nurture my capabilities and it gave me a passion to lead in a different way I learned early in my life.
THEME 10: DEVELOPMENT OF OTHERS

Theme Statement: Developing others is a passion that has and continues to grow over my profession journey

Supportive Data:
• Well. The next year I was asked to train a new manager and team at the Pentagon. *LIN

perfectly fine with people not having respect for me. *SA
• People who are high in Agreeableness experience a great deal of empathy and tend to get pleasure out of serving and
taking care of others. *Big 5
Contradictory Evidence: It stands for Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging. ISTJ indicates a person who is energized
by time spent alone (Introverted). *JTT.
Your responses indicate you are 55% self focused and 45% others focused. D*ST
Reflection: When I have an ability and I see others struggling with that same ability my teaching hat is put on. I think it
is always important to take the time to develop and build the capabilities of those around, especially if they are willing to
learn.
MY PERSONAL VISION STATEMENT

I envision myself creating businesses that will be the help for all people. These
business will home to all of those who have not had their voice heard and have
not had the help needed to be a better version of themselves. I will strive to create
resources that will be available to every race, gender, and culture.
Reflection: I started my first businesses in 2021. This was the vision statement I
made for myself when I began this journey. My vision statement reminds me
what I am striving for and why. When I start my next one, it will need to align
with this statement.
MY PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT

I am dedicated to living a life that is worth the calling God has on it. I will be that
changing agent needed to make the world a better place while continuously
working toward being a better me.

Reflection: My mission statement is important to me because it is the foundation

in everything that I do. When I embark on different parts of my life, my first
thought is “is this what God has for me?” In everything that I do I want to be able
to change the world for the better. While this means I want to be able to change
the world, it also includes working on myself to be better.
CONCLUSION

I have learned a lot throughout this process. I learned the various types of leaders I hace been to my
teams. I also enjoyed learning more about my personality and why I lead the way I do from the many
tests I’ve taken. It has been eye opening to see the progresss I have made both personally and
professionally. I intend to use my vision and mission statement as I progress in life and begin new
journey’s. This project has truly been rewarding.
