What makes it a vector logo?
A vector file is typically described as a small scalable, and editable
image that provides designers with infinite freedom when it comes to
graphic design and illustration.

What makes it a bitmap/raster poster?

A bitmap/raster graphic is a digital image which is composed of a
matrix of dogs. When viewed at 100%, each dot corresponds to an
individual pixel on display.

The bright colours have connotations of youthity
suggesting that his music is relatable towards the
younger generations, which corresponds with his
target audience.

What are the pixel dimensions of this image?

The bright yellow tones juxtapose the black background which makes the Logo stand out.

The informal style of the Logo attracts the attention of younger audiences. The face
has connotations of chaos, encouraging the younger generation to listen to the band's music, but
it was primarily targeted towards the older generation at the time of the band (1990’s). The genre
of the band is labeled as Grunge Rock, and the average number of Spotify listeners monthly is
21.1 Million.

What is the purpose of the Nirvana Logo? The purpose of the Nirvana logo is to display a digital
advertisement of their band, for example, if their logo is printed onto T-shirts, hoodies, etc. Then
you would know that the band that is being displayed is Nirvana due to their logo being well
known amongst many different countries and communities. The middle section of the 3x3 grid
contains both a large portion of the Logo and a large section of the Band name. Whereas the
remaining outer quadrats are practically plain black.

The size of this image is 676x522

The pixel dimension of this image is 676x522 which in total is 352,872 pixels. And unlike the
queen poster it contains 352,872 pixels which is 3 times more than the queen poster.

Is this image good quality? Yes this image is high quality.

Analyzing a digital poster and advert
The artist is the subject, which puts the focus on him, therefore advertising the singer. 
The abstract colours create an interesting composition, gaining the audience's attention due to the uniqueness of the layout.
The bright colours contrast with the black background making it stand it, therefore engaging the viewer's attention onto the artist.
The image is at eye level, which makes it feel more intimate and personal, enabling the audience to connect with the singer.

The pattern and design creates an optical illusion, intended to capture the viewer's attention. Featuring the
artist himself and a microphone, it is obvious that the advert is advertising music. Due to the sheer popularity
of Queen’s music, they usually average around 39.2 monthly listeners, ranking at number 12 on the overall
monthly listeners' board.

What is the purpose of the poster? The purpose of the poster is to present a digital advertisement of a concert
to the audience, on the bottom of the poster you can visibly see various types of information to do with the
Queen show, such as the place in which the concert will take place, and the date of which the concert is
happening.

I used the rule of thirds for this poster to highlight each individual quadrant and section within the image. The
different quadrats on the bottom row all contain different types of information such as, the place where the
concert will take place and the date in which the concert is happening. The top section of the 3x3 grid layout
contains the band logo, and the bottom 6 quadrats contain images of Freddy Mercury and important and vital
information.

The size of the image is 283x400

What is the pixel dimension of this image? The total pixel dimension of this image is 283x400 which is 113,200
pixels in total.

Is this image good quality? Yes this image is good quality although the pixel dimension only contains 113,200
pixels in total and most high-quality images contain around 1,000,000 pixels in total  
What is the purpose and use of digital
graphics?
• The purpose of digital graphics is to combine text and images
together to produce a graphic product which can be used for a
specific purpose, for example Magazine posters and logos, etc. They
often present an idea or message using both writing and images
which is eye catching and affective.

• The use of digital graphics is to advertise a verity of companies,

through the use of visual content.

creates a sense of surrealism, engaging viewers of a
