What is water
cycle?
The water cycle is the
process by which water
moves through the earth
and atmosphere.

This process is continuous

and does not have a
certain starting point or
stoping point.
Stages of water cycle :

There are 4 main stage of

Evaporation
CONTENS
• Evaporation is the
process by which water
changes
• It does this by heat
from the sun. This warms
the water turning it from
• Most evaporation
ahappens
liquid to a gas.
from ocean.
Condensation

• condensation is the process

by which water vapor in the
air is change into liquid
water. ( Gas to liquid =
cooling )

• This process produces

clouds.
Transpiratation

• this is the process of water

moving through a plant and
then evaporating.

• Plants don't need all the

water they take in
Precipitation
• this is any form of
water that falls from
the atmosphere.
• There are 4 main
variation that include.
Precipitation
• this is any form of
water that falls from
the atmosphere.
• There are 4 main
variation that include.
• rain
• snow
• sleet
• hail
Rain
• This is liquid water in
the form of droplets that
fall from the clouds in the
atmosphere.

• More than 5 millimeters

in the diameter ( any
smaller and it became
known as drizzle)

• most common types of

Snow
• Precipitation is the form
of ice crystal that form
from the freezing of the
water vapor in the air
• The water vapor in the
clouds skippl the liquid
stage and go from a gas
to a liquid.
• happens when the
temperature in the cloud
is below freezing.
Sleet
• Precipitation in the
form of ice pellets
created by rain freezing at
it falls.

• As the rain falls it hits a

bond of cold air on its
way down causing it to
freeze.
Hail
• Precipitation consisting
of solid ice that forms
inside of updrafts ( In
thunderstorm ) in
cumulonimbus clouds

• Rain is pushback into

the cloud and freezes
( often multiple times )
