Tips for conversion of previous presentations
1. Open the Epiroc PPT Template, then drag and drop slides from your
previous presentation into the Slides pane OR use the following steps to
import slides:
2. On the Home tab of the ribbon, in the Slides group, click the arrow below
New Slide, and then select Reuse Slides. (Figure 1)
3. In the Reuse Slides pane, click Open a PowerPoint File. (Figure 2)
4. In the Browse dialog box, locate and click the presentation file that
contains the slide that you want, and then click Open. Make sure the
Keep source formatting check box is NOT checked before you add the
slide to the destination presentation. (Figure 3) When this check box is Fig. 1 Fig. 2
not selected, the copied slides inherit the styling of the slide they're
inserted after. Then, in the Reuse Slides pane, do one of the following:
– To add a single slide, click the slide.
– To add all of the slides, right-click any slide, and then select Insert All
Slides.

Tips for conversion of previous presentations (continued)
Once you have converted your presentation to the Epiroc template, you may
find certain elements (such as page numbers or text styles) vary from the
master layout, especially if these elements were manually changed from
master layout settings during the formatting of the original presentation. One
step you may try to automatically update these items is to "reset" the layout to
the master:
1. Access the Home tab of the Ribbon, locate the Slides group and click the
Reset button (highlighted in red within Figure 4).
2. Alternatively, if you need to reset just the active slide, you can click the
same Reset button without selecting any slides. You can also right-click
on an empty area of the slide to bring up the contextual menu, and then Fig. 4 Fig. 5
choose the Reset Slide option shown highlighted in red within Figure 5.
3. Selecting either of these options resets the position, size, and any other
formatting of the text placeholders to their default settings, as specified in Fig. 7
the template and Slide Master.
To adjust the position of the picture in title slide layouts, select the picture, Fig. 6
then:
4. On the Picture Format tab, click the arrow next to Crop (Figure 6).
Note: If you do not see the Picture Format tab, make sure that you
selected a picture and not a shape.
5. Click Fill or Fit, and then click outside the picture. (Figure 7)
