Murder Scenario

Mayor Mario Ablan was known politician in the town of Kawayan, Province of Kamagong. He is undefeated for 2 times
running as Mayor with his close opponents. In the forthcoming election 2022, he again filed his Certificate of Candidacy last
08 October 2021. On the night of same date about 8 o’clock he was on board of his private car driven by Nestor Ipil-ipil, they
were strafed with a 5.56 mm rifle near the first corner in the street where the mayor’s residence is located.

Prior to the incident one of the bodyguard of his close opponent, Gag Matigas was seen by the Mayor’s one servant
(Nelia Toog) who was going home near the crime scene wearing a denim jacket carrying something wrapped with a sack
extended from end to end. The said servant also seen that Gag Matigas fired a long firearm to the vehicle of Mayor Ablan.
Feeling with fear she ran to hide and called for police assistance when Gag disappear fastly going away with his red
motorcycle bearing Plate # HAA 556.

Mayor Ablan was hit on his chest causing blood oozing and unconscious while his driver was also with wounds on his
left arm and left leg. Bystanders rushed the duo to the nearest hospital. Mayor Ablan succumbed 2 gunshot wound on his
chest, 1 fatally hitting his heart which cause his death few minutes while he was treated at the hospital. While Nestor Ipil-ipil
was treated since his injuries were not fatal wounds.

During the Crime Scene Search, the investigator found the a white sack, several fired empty shells of cal 5.56 mm.

After due revelations of the witnesses Gag Matigas was arrested 2 days after the ambush but deny the allegations.
