A little more about Teresa
• I’m a “Senior” at Syracuse University (Graduating in Dec.
2022), studying International Relations and Public
Relations with a minor in Geography.
• This summer, I drove down to Georgia, but due to
housing issues hopped on virtually for the summer!
• I had such an amazing time working with the team, and
spent the last week of my internship virtually from
Barbados, where I’m completing the last section of my
research for my honors thesis project!

Executive Biographies
Another super fun project: I worked closely with Jeff
Rhodes to update and revise the biographies of the
executives, learning a lot about AP Style and the brand
guidelines.
This task was all about being meticulous. Never had I
thought so closely about the importance of the uniformity
of format, style of AP conventions, and attention to detail
necessary to make a polished, cohesive final project.

Intern Project: Engineering Competition
As part of our recruitment strategy, I proposed holding an
engineering competition to draw new talent to Lockheed.
By developing a contest, I hoped that the bright young
minds would take on a challenge. Here’s a small look into
the poster that I made to suit the project.

Here’s the Comp Flyer

I created

F-35 Audit for AMMM Recommendations
AMMM always is looking to learn and grow. Stephanie tasked
me with the tall order of talking to experts, like John Losinger
in F-35 comms to best understand what makes a successful
and legacy news distribution and Fast Facts list serv work.

I was able to sit down with “J-Lo” for nearly two hours and
delve into the ins and outs of how F-35 works. Through
research, comparison, auditing and writing, I was able to act
as a “contractor” and fresh set of eyes to provide
recommendations on ways to improve the AMMM distribution,
culminating in my final report.

Professional Mentorship: Legal
This summer, I really learned how to read the fine
print. I spent three months working with the wonderful
Rose Eichler, from LHM Legal.

With an interest in becoming a lawyer, and trying to

figure out my future, Rose and I began working
through the day-to-day life of being a lawyer, from
trade and compliance documents to general talks on
how to stay sane for three more years of school.

This mentorship developed a strong confidence boost,

as I was able to troubleshoot, learn and garner advice
from someone who made herself into the exemplary
figure she is today, but also was much of a friend and
support through my journey of navigating my last
semester of school and figuring out how to start
writing my next chapter.

Sustainment Story
“A 911 for Sustainment”

Writing this story as well was incredible as I was able to

be supported in conversations to glean as much
information as possible and convert that into something
that was interesting to read within a word count.

This story was my dry run at real internal

communications and it was phenomenal to see it come
together after a few weeks of conversations.

Crew Door Story
This story grew incredibly special to
me, as Stephanie and team tasked
me with the writing and interviews all
on my own.
Setting up conversations with team
members and engineers, I was able
to draft my own set of questions,
compile my own research and work
through tricky engineering diagrams
to understand exactly what highly
technical engineers were all about.
I was fortunate to better understand just what goes into
making a C-130 and how successes and decades of trial
and error give way to a solution that makes engineers
emotional from the time and effort that drives their work.

Up Next:
The journey continues…

I’m proud to be graduating a semester early from Syracuse University this December with
degrees in international relations and communications, as well as minor in geography.

This fall I will be completing my honor’s thesis, entitled “One Product, Two Worlds”, which also
allowed me to travel to Barbados to work virtually during my last week on a university funded
research trip.

I hope to be back soon to work again with Lockheed Martin!

THANK YOU MMCT!
Each and every one of you taught me lessons of all size and scale from
experience to know-how, to simple tips and tricks along the way. Thank you
all for inspiring me and always trusting me to work on projects, and for
making this the most incredible learning experience. I look forward to keeping
in touch and hope to one day soon cross paths again with MMCT!
