INTRODUCTION
Wood charcoal is the act of processing the used material for use in creating new product.
Usage of natural property is becoming intense.
Charcoal can replace cement.
Wood Charcoal are obtained from brick kiln &burning woods.
Charcoal is a waste that can less decompose by the soil.
Environmental friendly.
OBJECTIVES
Understanding the proportional behavior of wood charcoal in concrete

Observations of compressive strength for 3 days.

Observations of compressive strength for 14 days.

Observations of compressive strength for 28 days.

Observations of compressive strength of concrete replacing wood charcoal.

WHY USE WOOD CHARCOAL IN CONCRETE
They have greater influence on the constructability and durability of concrete
Decreased the air void content and affected the specific surface area and the
spacing factor.
In the fly ash cement mortar improved compressive strength.
It has benefits in concrete it is better workability and ultimate strength.
Due to its structure developed, large surface area, strong
adsorption capacity, high mechanical strength, low bed resistance, good
chemical stability, easy regeneration, durability and other advantages, received
great attention and extensive research, known as 22 centuries one of the most
advanced materials.
USE OF WOOD CHARCOAL IN CONCRETE
Used in construction work.
Paving block, pots & benches for community use.
Paving for walkways,& other hard surfaces.
In retaining wall.
Aesthetics concrete structure
Light weight concrete structure
SOURCES OF WOOD CHARCOAL
There are huge amount of wood charcoal in brick kilns
Huge amount of kitchen & hotels.
Huge amount of electric plants
Huge amount of hot mixing plants.

CONCLUSION

Replacing wood charcoal concrete carries less compressive strength than fresh concrete.

Using Activated Carbon powder and Plastic powder in concrete is also termed as
structural light weight concrete

Void occurs in concrete cylinder while ¾” down-grade size waste plastic is used in recycle
aggregate concrete.

The replacement of cement with 20% the cubes act as a brittle material

By this experimental study we conclude that the adsorptive nature of activated carbon
effectively remove toxic air a fill the pores in concrete.
RECOMMENDATION

It help to improve environment.

Paving block, pots & benches for community use.

Its use in high structural elements must be avoided, because of the lack of standards.
