DEFINTION
PRONOUN

A pronoun is a word that takes the place of


one or more nouns
PURPOSE
PRONOUN

The purpose of pronouns is to avoid


repetition and make sentences easier to
understand.
KINDS OF PRONOUN
SUBJECT PRONOUN
A subject pronoun is used as the subject of a sentence.

Examples:
• She is my best partner.
• It is my lovely cat.
• Does he know inject the patient?
• You and I will check up to that international hospital.
OBJECT PRONOUN

An object pronoun is used as the direct/indirect object or the


object of a preposition.

Examples:
• Give the medicine to me.
• The teacher gave her a journal.
• I will tell you a story.
POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVE
PRONOUN
A possessive adjective tells us that someone owns
(or possesses) something.

Examples:
• This is my personal assistant.
• Where is your sister? 
• How much did his car cost?
POSSESSIVE PRONOUN

A possessive pronoun is a pronoun that shows who or what has


something.

Examples:
• This is our car. This car is ours.
• It's my thermometer. This thermometer is mine.
REFLEXIVE PRONOUN

A reflexive pronoun refers to a noun or another pronoun and


indicates that the same person or thing is involved.

Examples:
• The woman found herself a book of folktales.
• I can finish this thesis by myself
