INTRODUCTION

 Organizational Communication is sending and receiving of


messages among inter-related individuals within a particular
environment or setting to achieve individual’s and common
goals.
 Organizational Communication is highly contextual and
culturally dependent.
 Socialization is an important aspect of a business organization
and communication plays a key role in creating a welcoming
environment.
 Whether it’s internal or external, hierarchical or flat, all forms
of communication within a business environment helps to
increase efficiency and improve organizational performance.

 On Sunday the12th of April, 2009, two Domino’s employees from a branch in North Carolina
uploaded a film on You Tube.

 The footage is filmed while they are at work, showing disturbing images of themselves violating
health codes with unsanitary actions.

 Domino’s was further alerted about the video by consumer.com and both employees were arrested.

 Further, health department took sample of their food.

 The video becomes a viral sensation with more than a million hits on You Tube, 3 days after it was
uploaded.

 65% of respondents who had visited Domino’s Pizza say they would not visit Domino’s Pizza after
seeing video.
