FORCE AND

MOTION
By Ash foreman
WHAT IS FORCE?
Force is a push or pull of an object  in a

particular direction.
WHAT IS MOTION?

Motion is an object moving or being moved by a

force
TYPES/DEFINITIONS OF MOTION
Rotary Motion: A special type of motion in which the object is on rotation
around a fixed axis like, a figure skater rotating on an ice rink.
Oscillatory Motion: A repeating motion in which an object continuously
repeats in the same motion again and again like a swing.
Linear Motion: A one-dimensional motion on a straight line, like an athlete
running on a straight track.
Reciprocating Motions: A repetitive and continuous up and down or back
and forth motion like a needle in a sewing machine.
TYPES OF FORCE:
There are 2 category's the types of force goes
into
CONTACT FORCE:
  NON-CONTACT FORCE:
the label used to describe a push/pull
a force applied to an object by another body
interaction that occurs when an object
that is not in direct contact with it.
meets another object.

Types of contact force:

Types of non-contact forces
- muscular force
- Electrostatic force
- frictional force
- Gravitational force
- spring force
- Magnetic force
- tension force
- Nuclear force
- air resistance force
DEFINITIONS OF THE TYPES OF CONTACT
FORCES
Air resistance force: the force applied on an object when it hits air by traveling through it. is friction between the air
and another object or a person.

Applied force: occurs when a person or object directly applies force to another object, causing it to move.

Frictional force: any force that opposes motion. basically, it's a force that tries to slow or stop something from
moving.

Normal force: is the name for the force that keeps objects in place when they are resting on an object that is stable.

Spring force: is the force created when an external force causes a spring to change its shape.

Tension is a pulling force; It occurs when objects like wires, ropes, cables, or rods are pulled tightly from both ends
DEFINITIONS OF THE TYPES OF NON-CONTACT FORCES
Gravitational force: The force of attraction on a body by earth. Gravitational
force exists between all objects that have matter.

Electrostatic force: The force that exists between two objects that are both
electrostatically charged.

Magnetic force:  It occurs when two magnetic fields interact with each other.

Nuclear force: Force that acts between the protons and neutrons of atoms.
