 WHAT IS ROTC?

• The Reserve Officers Training Corps

(ROTC) is tasked to train and develop college
students in the rudiments of Military Service in
order to produce capable Armed Forces of the
Philippines reservists.
 WHAT IS ROTC?
• A program component designed to provide military
training to tertiary level students in order to
motivate, train, organize and mobilize them for
national defense preparedness. This course is
intended to prepare and equip the students with
knowledge, skills, and attitude in carrying out
national service in the event of national
emergencies and to assist the socio-economic
development of the country.
 “NEW THING TO LEARN AND SKILLS
TO DEVELOP”
• The ROTC program will inculcate patriotism, nationalism and discipline
among the youth.
• The specific skills you receive in Army ROTC will include things like
leadership development, military skills, and adventure training.
• To teach students the values of citizenship, leadership, service to the
community, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment while
instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline.
 THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ROTC
PROGRAM ARE:
• To attract, motivate, and prepare selected students to serve as
commissioned Officers in the Active or Reserve Force of the Philippine
Army.
• To provide ROTC cadets with the fundamental concepts and principles of
military art and science to develop leadership and managerial potential.
• To develop strong sense of personal integrity, honor, responsibility, and
good citizenship.

 ROTC is not just about standing and Marching Drills under the Heat of the sun.
ROTC is all about building a solid foundation to instill patriotism, discipline and
nationalism among the youth to become useful citizens who possess the skills,
knowledge and the heart to uphold and defend the country's national institutions and
sovereignty.”
Aspiring to become a better Filipino citizen, a dream behind the curtains of
public service, voluntarism, camaraderie, and discipline has to be fulfilled. To
preserve the motherland through protecting it from any threats internally and
externally is a citizens' honor.
That is why, the youth, being the hope of the motherland, are encouraged to get
involved in civil services as a form of exercise to instill Patriotism and Nationalism
within them; hence, preparing them mentally and physically is a desideratum to do
so. Equipped with the spirit of a true follower, the door of leadership shall be opened.
 In behalf of all ROTC Members Nationwide, We, The Batuan
Colleges Inc. Reserve Officers Training Corp Unit, wholeheartedly
serving for the betterment of its name, adopting the profession of arms,
valuing the fundamentals of military service, courtesy, and discipline
and is continuing our duty as a better Filipino citizen. The experiences
of professionalism which we sought to be significant to the personal
development of mine, We can say, is indeed relevant upon engaging in
various fields of activities and so We hereby speak with gratitude that
being one with them is a great decision that we have made.
