Executive Summary

• Business Overview
JB's Bakeshop is a small, local bakery inTalisayan, Misamis
Oreintal, owned by a local resident of the municipality, a mother,
Ritchel Ipan. The bakeshop specializes all sorts of bread,
especially Monay and Spanish bread, and is known for its freshly
baked and luscious taste of bread. The bakeshop is located in
the busy streets of the muncipality's public market, convenient, a
busy retail strip center of Talisayan, and is accessible to all
residents of the community.
Business History/Background/Objectives

Business History
The business venture was just a wishful thinking at first, when
Ritchel was looking for some extra income that could help her
with their family finances. She was new to the baking industry.
Putting up the business was not that easy for her. A striving
mother of one, started to have proposal to one of her relatives,
she then asked and borrowed enough capital for the bakeshop to
start operating.
The bakeshop did start with
a few employees. Ritchel as
the owner/manager. Two
deployed in the baking area,
the bakers, and one deployed
over the counter, the
saleslady. With just few of the
baking materials needed, they
started to operate the
business. Manual mixing of
ingredients for bread, single
handedly was excecuted by
one of the bakers.
Background
The bakeshop's named after the son of the owners' relative,
who is also the one who supported financially as the owner
did borrowed capital for the business. The owner named the
business after her relatives' son to give recognition and thanks.

Ritchel have made a name for herself. For over a year in

operating, she managed the business well, and even opened
another bakeshop at the municipality of Lagonglong, Misamis
Oriental.
During the pandemic, the business have slightly experienced
light problems. Like when the local government, along with the
municipal Rural Health Unit, mandated that all business
establishments must be/have fully vaccinated personnel to
continue its operation and the bakeshop need to use the skeletal
system of duty schedules.

After the breakout of COVID-19, and the industry is slowly

recovering, the bakeshop managed to sustain its sales and even
hired more personnel.
Objectives
JB's bakeshop goal is to make fresh baked treats everyday.
Driven to serve tasty, affordable treats and that will surely
satisfy the customers cravings.

By the next three to five years, we see the business will

progress in terms of goods and services, serve quality
products. By this time, the franchise will prosper and grow,
offers a variety of bread and pastries and refreshments as
well.

In the long run, JB's bakeshop looks forward to expand the

franchise that can reach and able to put up more stores in
neighboring municipalities.
Business Environment
The bakery industry is a huge business that caters to people's
