Hand grinder fall down from the workshop

table and hit Mechanic Helper head

Date : October 21, 2011 at 19.30 pm.

Victim : Mechanic Helper ( Sofyan)
 Accident Description

On Oct 21, 2011 at 7:30 pm, mechanic helper

Person injury : want to grind tang sharpring by hand grinder in
welder shop. He put the hand grinder on the
Name : Sofyan working table and he’s also didn’t check position

switch on or switch off, take off his hardhat and

put on the table. When IP wan to plug-in the
Company : PT. Tritama electric source at under the table. After plugging
in the power, the hand grinder automaticly running
and drop down from the table to IP head. His
head was cut a wound approximately 5 cm length
by running grind disk, the victim was sent to BGP
Clinic immediately and got 5 stitches. Then IP
brought to DKT Hospital in Jambi to scan his head
and the result it’s no fracturing then doctor
recommend to light working.
