Problem Statement Title: To develop Mobile software for

guiding the tourist (Char Dham Yatra & other places) in
Uttarakhand state.
Idea/Approach Details
Description:
• Tourism is a major source of income for the state of
Uttarakhand.
• To give tourism a further boost, the Government
wants to create a tourist-friendly application that will
have the details of all the Char Dham and other
important places present in the state.
• The website should also help tourists get local
information regarding the availability of stay and
lodging at partner hotels.

Technology used:
• WordPress (WP, WordPress.org) is a free and open-
source content management system written in PHP and
paired with MySQL or MariaDB database with
supported HTTPS.
• Features include a plugin architecture and a template
system, referred to within WordPress as Themes.
• WordPress was originally created as a blog-publishing
system but has evolved to support other web content
types including more traditional mailing lists
and forums, media galleries, membership sites,
and online stores.
• One of the most popular content management system
solutions in use, WordPress Is used by 42.8% of the top
10 million websites as of October 2021.
• Amazon Cloud Hosting services from AWS for hosting
our website.
Idea/Approach Details

This is a website that works for both tourists who visit Uttarakhand and for travel agents
around Uttarakhand.

This website works as a complete tour guide for Uttarakhand tourism covering lots of
places including Char Dham and various other tourist places.

Then they can access details of various tourist places in Uttarakhand.

Local tourists can also add their reviews and experience about the places they visited in
Uttarakhand which would be helpful for the tourists.

Future Aspects

In the future, we look forward to adding more features like information about hotels and
accommodation. We would also give details about the availability of stay on our website.

We also want to add information about tour packages and coupons and discounts for those
tours. We would include information about transport facilities

And, we would like to add a subscription service so that people can get information about
tours in their mail or by SMS. So we would be collecting Email ID and/or their phone number
for this feature.
