Establishing/long shot:
This is an example of a long shot.
This particular scene shows which
all characters are present, where they
are, and when it is taking place
(which is during a windy day).
Close-up:
This is a close-up shot. This
is being used to make us
more involved in the
conversation that is
happening in the scene. It is
also giving emphasis on her
expressions.
Medium shot:
This scene is showing detail on
the hand movements and is
showing the interaction between
the mom and daughters.
Straight on eye level:
This is used to keep the
focus on the person seen. To
show their expressions,
movement and more.
Pan:
Here, the camera is
moving with the female
character, as she is
running.
Pace of editing:
This editing is done is at a
medium pace compared to other
scenes in the trailer. This pace is
there only at the end of the trailer
to make the viewer hooked onto
it.
Low-key lighting:
There is low-key lighting in this
scene, where the main focus is
only kept on the fire and the
character’s face.
High-angle/crane shot

In this picture you can see a


high-angle used to show many
characters at once while some
of them dance.
Low-angle
Here, low-angle is used as a female
protagonist looks up at her sister.
Point Of View shot (POV)

This is the male protagonist (Laurie)’s


POV while he is looking at the female
protagonist (Jo).
Incidental music
Throughout the text, incidental music
plays in the background. This music is one
that cannot be heard by the characters.
