What is Creativity in Engineering? 

To create something new in engineering you

first must understand what already exists.

You also need a creative mind, to imagine

how to solve new problems as they occur. 

This means that to be creative in engineering

you need an upstanding of scientific
principles and an imagination to apply them.
 Pyramids 
• The Bent Pyramids design was change
2/3 of the way into constructing.
• The sides began to collapse in on
itself.
• The angle was change to make it more
stable. 
• Designers then made the bases of the
pyramids larger so as that they were
able to make them taller.
 Advancements in
Engineering
• Humanity first began to discover by adventuring
the seas and the lands.
• The need to discover different lands pushed
engineering to create better boats
• The first flights were only a couple of seconds but
nowadays we have commercial planes that navigate
the globe.
• Today we are adventuring space and the challenges
that it presents.
• The advancements in engineering due to creativity
allow humanity to continue to discover.
 Risks with Creativity
• Catastrophe 
• Loss in life
• Wasted money
• Unforeseen Problems 

Creativity comes with a risk, but it is

required for advancement. This is why a
good scientific background knowledge is
so important.
