1) Position the cursor at the

location where you want to
start checking position
2) On the Review tab, in the
proofing group click Spelling
and Grammar

Check spelling F7

• Click the correctly spelled word in the

box
• Change to change the misspelled word
• Click Ignore Once if no correction is
needed .
• Ignore All to continue checking the
document
THESAURUS

Thesaurus
Shift+F7

Thesaurus tool provides a list of synonyms (i.e . Words with

similar meanings ) for a given word
Change Case

• Sentence case: Change the first letter of each

sentence to uppercase while leaving all others
lowercase.
• lowercase: Changes all letters to lowercase.
• UPPERCASE: Changes all letters to uppercase.
• Capitalize Each Word: Capitalizes the first letter
of each word.
• tOGGLE cASE: Shifts between the currently
selected case view and its opposite. For
example, if you’re currently using the uppercase
case view, selecting tOGGLE cASE will switch the
text to lowercase.
Find and Replace

• Go to Home > Replace.

• Enter the word or phrase you want to
replace in Find what.
• Enter your new text in Replace with.
• Choose Replace All to change all
occurrences of the word or
phrase. ...
• To specify only upper or lowercase in
your search, select More > Match
case.
 From the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, select the Bullets drop-down list.

Bullets and Numbering

• Bullets and numbering is useful in a word document if you want to

make list of some points or information
• From Home tab  click Paragraph group click Bullets and
Arrows
Changing Bullet style

Go to Insert > Symbol. Pick a symbol, or

choose More Symbols. Scroll up or down to
find the symbol you want to insert.

• 1) Thesaurus : A tool in word 2016 that provides synonyms ( words

with similar meaning)
• 2) Bullet : A dot or symbol that marks an important line of
information
• 3) Symbol : A sign or special character that can be inserted in a
