1. [machine main body] Set up procedure

1. Remove fixing pin at the optical section * When transporting/moving the

machine, please make sure to set this fixing pin to hold (fix) the mirror
frame
2. Install the waste toner tank and insert the starter toner container which is
included in the machine (push the toner container to the end until it stops)
and lock (See the below photo 1)
3. Close the front cover
4. Plug in the power cord
5. Turn ON the main SW and toner install will start automatically (it takes
about 10 minutes)

6. Attach the seal to hide the screws (3 positions: Left side of the machine x 1,
right side of the machine x 2) (See the below photo 2 and 3)
7. Make a test copy and perform the image adjustment if it is necessary

8. Remove the screw and hook, and remove front right cover
(See the photo 4 and 5)

1-2. [Connect the cassette heater]
9. Pull out the cassette
10. Insert the wire into the wire saddle and install the cassette heater on the
machine (See the drawing 1 and 2)
11. Connect the connector of the cassette heater (See the photo 6)

Right angle adjustment is done by the following procedure

1. Execute U402 and make test print to check the right angle
2. In case of the image shown on the drawing 1, adjustment should be made based on the
drawing 2
* Specification: difference of the margin on D (|A-B| ≤ 1mm (See the below drawing)

In case if the output image is Loosen the screw and

1 or 2, adjust the fuser unit shift the ADJUSTOR, and
as shown on the drawing 2 tighten the screw again

In case of the image 1,

shift to the left

The procedure for the image adjustment

1. Writing the image (ENGINE section)

5. Change the value to make the setting within the above standard

2) U034: Set the paper timing data (Adjust Leading edge timing of the paper, center misalignment)

3) U402: Adjust the print margin

1. Adjust the print margin

Execute the maintenance mode U402 and select

the cassette to adjust

2. Adjust the difference of the margin on D

Execute the maintenance mode U402 and select

the cassette to adjust

1. Press interrupt key and go into the test print

screen
2. Select the specified cassette

3. Press Start Key to output the sample
4. Measure the margin of A and B

The difference of the margin on D 5. Adjust the Fuser Unit to make the setting
A-B ≤ 1mm within the above standard
