INTRODUCTION
• Jammer is a device that blocks transmission or reception of signals, usually by
creating some form of interference at the same frequency ranges that cell phones
use.
• A Military Base intelligent network Jammer is a device that can prevent the
reception or transmission of signals by Mobile Phones and radio signals in a
Military base restricted areas. Basically, a Mobile Jammer Circuit is an RF
Transmitter. The figure below the jammer signal coverage area.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
• At the present time, the military was of warning the usage of
mobile phones in military areas is still done by written
adverts that warns the visitors or local pedestrians that is
illegal to use phone or call or send information’s in restricted
area, unfortunately some are violate these restrictions and
abuse since they still have a network on their phones or FM
radios broadcasting or receiving devices.
OBJECTIVES

• The objective of this project is divided into two parts.

General and specific objective
• Main Objective
• The main objective of the proposed system is to design a
system capable of generating an interference signal with
frequency range similar to the FM, GSM and 3G network
signal.
OBJECTIVES CONT…

Specific Objectives
• The specific objectives are as follows.
• To establish design specification.
• To design an electronic RF sensing circuit of detecting cell
phones (RF Detector).
• To design jammer circuit.
• To program control unit.
METHODOLOGY

The following steps will be taken to accomplish the objectives of the

proposed system
• Literature review
• Data collection
• Data analysis
• Circuit design
• Implementation of RF detector and jammer circuit
• Circuit simulation
• Prototype building with testing and report writing

Advantages of the proposed system
• It works with both GSM and CDMA.
• We can provide security to VIP’s from the anti-social elements.
• By jammers we can’t disturb other people in the public places like
restaurants, shopping places.
DATA COLLECTION
• Data collected include system related information that
verify the problem statement of the project and it
technical findings.
• This included the interview from military officers in
Dar es Salaam and various technical data obtained
from the literature.

DATA ANALYSIS AND DESIGN

Introduction
• This part gives details about data analysis and design of the proposed system. The
analysis and designs are all based on the data collected in the previous slides.
• Simulation is done using Proteus 8 Professional & C language for programing the
control unit.
DATA ANALYSIS Cont….

Based on the project operations to be done by the control unit, the following are the
requirements for the control unit;
i. Ability to receive the alerting signal from the cellphone detector.
ii. High Processing speed at least 8 MHz
iii. Small in size, low power consumption with fewer hardware connections
required for its functioning.

Selection of capacitors for the crystal oscillator

• As shown C1 and C2 connected to either side of the crystal are parasitic
capacitors, which assists the crystal oscillator to maintain and optimize electric
condition.
• Calculations of the parallel resonant capacitor are shown below and the desired
capacitance for C1 and C2 is used in the designing of the proposed system.

• The capacitor C and L constitute the LC tank
circuit which will produce the high frequency
signal. When the transistor is turned ON, the
tank circuit will start its operation and produce
the VHF signal which will create the noise in
the original signal so that receiver cannot
receive the signal. Even if it is received also,
the signal cannot be used by the receiver
circuit.
• The resistors R1 and R2 will act as the biasing
circuit and R3 is used for limiting the emitter
current in the circuit.
• The frequency produced will be :

• Most mobile jammer circuit uses a 555 timer IC and a LC oscillator to generate
frequency as noise on a particular frequency.
CONCLUSION
The system is expected to generate an interference
signal having similar(same) frequency as that of the FM,
GSM and 3G network signal. And hence when the
proposed system is switched on it will prevent mobile
device and radio from receiving or transmitting signals.
