• Article 1 "Introduction (Conifer Corp)"

• Conifer Corp, sawmill operation in Oregon owned by major forest product company with 1 general manager, 16 supervisors and support staff,
and 180 unionized employees. There is a fixed paid system for employees particularly. This company operates mainly packaging and
presentations. Due to the entry of many competitors in the market, there is fear of a decline in growth. For a few years company is having a
good reputation in the market but for the past two years, the company is not having good outcomes where the clients are complaining about
the services provided by Conifer and switching to substitute products.
• Use in the upcoming assignment
• This article would help me in providing a sufficient introduction about the case study and helps to provide related concepts about the case
study.
• Article 2"Importance of supervisor and control mechanism"
• In a case study of Conifer Corp, there is a neglect of the supervisor role as the supervisor is not able to detect the problem and doesn't focus
on the main problem. In the case of study, the symptom like something is going bad this leads the company toward declining growth (Carter &
Wehby, 2003). Another symptom like decreasing productivity level in the packaging department while same in another department. These are
not taken seriously.
• Use in the upcoming assignment
• This article would help me in explaining the importance of a supervisor in an organization which helps in maintaining the growth and
increasing the outcome so that the company may survive in market competition.
• Article 3"Motivation"
• With the help of this article, I will be explaining the importance of motivation to the employees and directly helps in improving productivity.
Employees should get attention so that they feel good for working and feel conformable in with working environment (Sparks, 2012).
Employees should get training and development sessions for better skills and knowledge related to their work and types of equipment.
• Use in the upcoming assignment
• I would be using this article in my upcoming assignment relating to the employees of Conifer Corp and providing them different motivation
sessions and training related to their work.
• Article 4"Supervision"
• In the whole case study, it is clearly shown that the supervisor is not responsible for his duty and does not pay attention to the problem that is
being occurred in the workplace. The supervisor plays an important role in an organization (Porter, Wrench, & Hoskinson, 2007). The
supervisor has to provide the required solution to the problem and helps the employees solve their personal as well as professional
problems.
