ADVANTAGES OF LIVING IN A BIG CITY

A number of people are concerned about living in urban areas mainly because of the great advantages it
brings about. Basically, one of the main positives of city life is that it offers a great convenience of services to
its dwellers. As a result, they stand the chance to receive the best possible healthcare and enjoy the endless
entertainment options, as there is a huge range of recreational places and healthcare systems available in
every city. Similarly, another notable point is that the urban areas open avenue for job hunting. Most of the
corporate offices, factories, government offices, garments and companies are either situated in a city or close
to the city. Hence, they will afford myriad employment opportunities, which helps job seekers to get a good
position without much difficulty. As well, the recent advancements in technology and transportation comfort
the urban lifestyle. The vast amount of transports facilities has made life immensely easy to live in the
metropolis areas and the commuting to work is not a problem. Briefly, living in a big city is generally
considered to be beneficial in multiple ways due to its tremendous merits.
CAUSES OF AIR POLLUTION IN BIG
CITIES
It can be easily seen that citizens’ living conditions are being affected significantly by the over-controllably poor
air quality. There are several contributors that lead to the decline of atmosphere value in the main cities. First of
all, due to the wave of immigrants, there are more private vehicles to respond to the demand of residents. This
kind of transport exhaust fumes, which is considered to be the main contributor to respiratory disease such as
asthma. Moreover, many factories are located near the centre city because of the convenience. Industrial waste
causes many harmful effects to the local people. For example, some steel factories around Hanoi are threatening
the lives of people who live nearby. Their lives are being harmed by the poisonous emission from fossil fuel
combustion discharges during producing process. If there’s one activity responsible for polluting our air the most,
it’s the burning of fossil fuels. Fossil fuels provide most of the energy that supports so many activities such as
heating homes, running cars, supplying electricity etc. Unfortunately, though, burning fossil fuels is not an
environmentally-friendly activity. It causes breathing problems for living creatures and contributes to acid rain.
HOW TO IMPROVE ACADEMIC WRITING SKILLS

Academic writing is a very formal and structured style of writing. There are plenty of reasons why a student
would not be very good at academic writing, but that does not mean that nothing can be done about it. First of
all, practicing writing in formal tones, which is somewhat difficult at first, and that can make students hesitant to
write. The hesitation and reluctance can only be removed by practicing writing. Students should write about
their hobbies and interests and then convert those pieces into formal writing. Second, we should keep the
research notes handy. The easiest method to counter this problem is to keep notes of all research. Write down the
main points of each paper in a notebook and record any page numbers that have data we may need to refer to. So
that we don’t have to search the actual papers again. Finally, equally important is the grammar check.
Grammatical mistakes are very easy to make. Even the best writers make such mistakes from time to time.
That’s why at the end of writing, students should always proofread their work and root out any mistakes. This
way they can ensure that their writing is good and the reading difficulty is also moderately low.
SOME PROBLEMS OF FIRST YEAR
STUDENTS IN THEIR STUDY
Seemingly everyone experiences difficulties with studying at first year students in their study. In the first place,
many people are unable to adapt the new studying environment. Getting used to the teaching style of university
lecturers is also a difficult step. If there is not quickly an effective way of learning, students will be greatly
pressured by the huge amount of knowledge. Also, peer pressure is a common problem. Witnessing the
superiority of peers makes students feel self-conscious, which leads to stressed. This greatly affects the learning
efficiency of each person. Lastly, many freshmen wonder about their majors and future jobs. This leads to
confusion and anxiety. Some people do not know what exactly they are studying, what they will do after
graduation, and how to develop their career. Part of that is because the school, the major you are studying, is not
the school and industry you want to pursue. They study here because their parents forced them, or because this is
just their second wish.
TRAVELLING BY BUS

Now a days everyone have their own vehicle and therefore not everyone used public vehicles for travelling. But
there are many reasons why buses won’t go out of service for a long. Firstly, we can save economically. When
we think how much money we have saved up with bus travel instead of let’s say, traveling by car (gas costs, toll
costs, etc.), then it is pretty much obvious why buses are the most economic option. Secondly, travelling by bus
brings many conveniences for commuters. Bus stations are almost always located near the city centre and it is
much easier to continue your trip from a bus station. In buses you can adjust your seat as much as you want, just
make sure that the person behind you is okay with that. In addition, the air conditioning in buses is always
adjusted so that you don’t have to sit in your winter jacket all the time if it’s freezing outside or sweat entire
journey during summer season. It’s all about being comfortable and relaxed during your trip. Lastly, traveling by
bus will contribute to reducing air pollution and traffic congestion. Passengers riding on buses means fewer car
drivers, lessening the number of vehicles to clog up streets and less emissions into the environment.
