Leading Change
Role of the Leader:
Leaders must manage the change or it will manage
them. When leaders fulfill the change management role,
changes are made efficiently and sustainably, and the
expectations of their staff, partners, stakeholders and
clients are met.
Leaders provide the motivation to change and get
people involved. They create a sense of urgency and
importance about the change, and show commitment and
passion about getting things done. They offer recognition
to those who are participating and doing well.
Eight Stage Model of Leadership

Walmart and IKEA

 The automation that digital tools bring saves tons of work hours
and efforts. Some of the real-world examples of success using
digital transformation are Walmart, JD.com, Sephora, and IKEA.
Walmart has used AR and VR technology to give a real-world
experience of services and technology. JD.com has fully
automated the shopping carts.
 Walmart connects their retailers across the US to their private
supplier factories in China for quicker supply chain
replenishment. To provide accurate product suggestions,
Sephora used high-end facial recognition technology. IKEA also
brings AR into practice to give a virtual product tour.
Authentic Leadership
Authentic leadership is a style of leadership that focuses on
transparent and ethical leader behavior and encourages
open sharing of information needed to make decisions
while accepting followers' inputs.” The experts seem to agree
that authentic leadership is about being you and making room
for others.

People who have an authentic leadership style bring their

whole selves to their jobs and participate fully and honestly
in the workplace. Organizations that foster authentic behavior
are more likely to have engaged, enthusiastic, motivated
employees and psychologically safe cultures.
Leaders Who Listen
Employees who feel their leaders listen are more likely to
speak up and share their ideas and perspectives. Getting
feedback from employees can help you grow as a leader.
Leaders who are open to listening to employee input can reap
the reward of their innovative ideas.
Do Great Leaders in Organization Listen?
The best leaders are skilled at listening—here's how they do
it: They listen with full attention. Most people like to speak,
but it's far more rewarding to listen with your full attention.
You retain more, and people talk more—because the sincerest
form of respect is actually listening to what another has to say.
