What is voleyball?
• Volleyball is a court game between two teams of six players per side

History of voleyball
• Volleyball was created in February 1895 by William George Morgan,
sports coach for the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) in
Holyoke. Morgan had studied at the YMCA Springfield College where he
met James Naismith who, in 1891, had invented the game of basketball.
Volleyball was originally devised as a calmer alternative to basketball,
because although it was well suited to young people, the older members
required a less intense game.
