and B phases. After removal of the fuses: the system becomes unbalanced!

A balanced star connected load takes 45 A with angles 0, -


120, and 120 from a balanced 3 phase supply. If the fuses
from the two line are removed find the system components
of the line current before and after the fuses are removed.

In a 3 phase unbalanced system of voltages, Vr+ and Vr-


denote +ve and –ve sequence components of the drop
from R line to neutral line and Vl+ and Vl- represent the
drop from R line to Y line. Show that:
