Do you like ice-creams? Yes? Well then let’s read a fun poem about it! ICE CREAM MAN The poem is about an ice cream man and the various ice creams he has in his cart. He pushes his cart around the town in the summer and the children swarm around his cart the same way bees do around flowers for nectar. Do you know what recycling is? It is when you reuse something and put it to another use let us read about the same in the chapter – Wonderful Waste WONDERFUL WASTE In this story the king stops the cook from throwing away the vegetable waste and put it to some other use. The cook decides to take all the vegetables and wash them. He then put them in a huge pot and placed them on the fire to cook. Next, he ground some fresh coconut, green chillies and garlic together. He added this paste and some salt and named the dish Avial (uh-vi-al) and the dish is still famous in Kerala. UNIT-2 Teamwork Teamwork is a poem about the importance of working together. We can’t play basketball if one person doesn’t pass the ball to the other or even participate in a relay race, because one needs to pass the baton to the next.
