sheets Required Projects and Activities Listed on the matrix of activities found on the department website http://grad.kean.edu/edleadership All must be completed by the end of Field II Substitutions - Approval of Kean Supervisor Completing the Matrix List the number(s) of the artifact(s) and/or log dates that relate to completion of the project or activity in the 3rd column Your Kean supervisor will rate your proficiency in the next columns The matrix will be returned to you at the end of field I. Copy it and give it to your Kean supervisor at the start of field 2 Artifacts Illustrate your experiences correspondence, memoranda, bulletins, articles, photographs, invoices, budgets, schedules, telephone messages, newsletters, forms, agenda, observations, etc. Your work or about you Number each one and provide a list Portfolio Cover sheet – List your name, e-mail address, phone number, Kean program in which you are matriculated (certification or degree), field site, name and position of site mentor Matrix List of numbered artifacts Artifacts Logs Time summary Portfolio Paper - Binder Electronic – CD or Flash Drive One Continuous file for logs Affidavit from site supervisor Electronic Logs One file Affidavit from site supervisor - I certify that the logs contained in this file are an accurate account of work performed under my supervision. Action Research Project Solve a problem identified at the field site First 3 chapters should be completed in Research course by the end of Field I Remainder finished by the end of Field II Full report handed in with portfolio Not required for certification or SBA candidates Field Supervision Site supervisor provides day-to-day supervision of your work Course instructor will arrange for a site visitation to meet with you and your supervisor Course instructor reserves the right to appear unannounced to monitor your work based on the Course Information Form Course Information Sheet Can be found on department website http://grad.kean.edu/edleadership Fill out and return to Kean supervisor ASAP Schedule will be used for visitation We’ll try for your prep - if not lunch Directions should be from a major highway not from Kean Evaluation Site supervisor’s evaluation Experiences reflected on logs Quality of completion of papers and activities as represented in your artifacts Grade will be assigned by Kean supervisor. Business Administrators No standards exist Portfolio will include projects decided upon between you and field supervisor No action research You have to take comps Final Words We know that this is a lot of work, but so is being an administrator You should be given increasing responsibility as your site supervisor’s trust grows Problems should be brought to the attention of your Kean instructor Remember you must apply once again for Field II Stay positive and have fun
