Stage Time Slide No. Procedure
• Hellos and initial greetings.
• Introduce yourself to the class, you can start with “Hi! Good morning (depending on the time
Warm up 3 min 0 of the day). My name is … . I am 10 years old (for fun). I like ......” .
Before class • Then have Ss introduce themselves. If someone is especially shy, you can help him/her by
asking simple questions, like “What’s your name?” “How old are you?” “What color do you
like?” “What animal do you like?” etc. Do whatever to help Ss relax.

Teach and sing a simple song with ss. E.g: Hockey Pockey . Walking Walking. Old McDonald had a
Warmer 2 min 4-6 farm, etc.

Read the dialogue to ss first, then drill on the subject, when ss get it, role play with ss on the
8min 7-15
dialogue again. Emphasize on the article in “ I have an art class.” “I have an English class.”

Vocabulary Look at the timetable and find out classes.

Ss might not know about days of the week yet, so you can explain it in simple words, for
10 min 16-22 example: Sunday, you play at home. Monday, you go to school. Tuesday, the second day
in school, etc. Focus on the timetable more though. After you ask the Question, leave
enough time for ss to try to answer, then click to go through the answer with ss together
again.

Read the dialogue with ss first, drill on the word ‘favorite’ more, you can explain it like ‘like
10 min 23-29 something very very much, for example, here is an apple, a pear, a banana. I like the apple very
very much. My favorite fruit is an apple.” Or some other simple example. When ss get it, role play
with them on the dialogue again.

This activity is to practice on recognizing and reading the words. You can read the descriptions
14 min 30-41 first, then have ss choose the correct answer. After that, you can build on it with questions like
“do you like singing? Do you like music class?” Ss might just throw a word ‘yes’ or ‘no’, help them
with “ Yes, I do. I like music class.” “No, I don’t. I don’t like music class.”

Have a brief review on what have learned. (If there is time left, you can have ss
introduce to you about their classroom.) Assign homework, (ss can download HW and
Wrap up & 3 min 42-43 print out), give ss a brief instruction on HW, and tell them they will be rewarded if they
Homework finish it. (Check HW before class next time, reward ss with flowers or smiling faces in
the chat box)
Close the class on a positive note with encouragement and praise to everyone.
