Electromagnetic Induction:
Electromagnetic Induction is a current produced because of voltage production
(electromotive force) due to a changing magnetic field.
 Through his experiment, he discovered that there are certain factors that influence this
voltage production. They are:
1. Number of Coils: The induced voltage is directly proportional to the number of
turns/coils of the wire. Greater the number of turns, greater is voltage produced
2. Changing Magnetic Field: Changing magnetic field affects the induced voltage. This can
be done by either moving the magnetic field around the conductor or moving the
conductor in the magnetic field.
This can benefit us in our capstone project, where
it can help us get a source of electricity that we
can use to power devices used in the project, in
addition that electricity is a clean source of
energy.
 The principles of electromagnetic induction are
applied in many devices and systems, including:
• Current clamp
• Electric generators
• Electromagnetic forming
Chemistry
Galvanic Cells:
Galvanic cells, also known as voltaic cells, are electrochemical cells in
which spontaneous oxidation-reduction reactions produce electrical
energy.

A galvanic cell is an electrochemical cell that uses the transfer of

electrons in redox reactions to supply an electric current. This cell is
driven by a spontaneous chemical reaction that produces an electric
current through an outside circuit. Galvanic cell reactions supply energy,
which is used to perform work.
As well as electromagnetic induction,
galvanic cells, as explained, can
produce electricity, which can help us
in the project while using devices like
generators, turbines, Because galvanic
cells can be self-contained and
portable, they can be used as batteries
and fuel cells, which are main energy
sources that will give enough power
for the project.
