NARRATIVE REPORT ON FILIPINO VALUES MONTH 2021

Filipino values is defined by the way people live their life as an influence
of one’s culture. Philippines, having been an archipelago, have not become a
hindrance towards having a single values system throughout the country. In
whatever part of the country you may be, one will find the same hospitality
that the Filipinos are known for as well as many other values that have
originated from our forefathers.

The values of Filipinos have been looked upon by foreigners as a

weakness instead of strength due to the nature of how they may be abused
and manipulated due to these vales. But values are what make up a certain
nation both in growth and unity. Some may see that Filipino values as a
hindrance to the growth of the country and yet others may say that it is
what makes our nation powerful.

The Department of Education (DepEd) joins the entire nation in the

2021 National Observance of the Filipino Values Month pursuant to
Presidential Proclamation No. 479 dated October 7, 1994 and DepEd
Memorandum No. 177, s. 2017 declaring the month of November every year
as Filipino Values Month that aims to mobilize all Filipinos for nation
building through the practical exercise of human values in our daily lives as
citizens and to awaken all to the power of these values in achieving the
individual and national goals.

In cooperation on the observance of Filipino Values Month, Agoo East

Cluster which comprises of three public schools in Agoo – Agoo National
Vocational High School, Capas Integrated School and President Elpidio
Quirino National High School hold essential and meaningful activities to
strengthen the Filipino culture, values and ideals which are Maka-Diyos,
Makatao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa. These values reflect the country’s
rich customs and practices that are instilled early in life.

Despite of the current situation, the Agoo East Cluster headed

by Agoo East Cluster Chairman, Dr. Oscar D. Gatchalian and
EsP Agoo East Cluster Coordinator, Teresita L. Laureano still seeks
the significance of these celebration.

This school year’s activities are still meaningful and

simple. It showcase talents and exemplify positive Filipino
Values among learners thru the help of different social media
platforms. Some of the activities conducted are Poster
making, Tiktok Challenge and Photography guided with the
theme: “Pagpapaunlad ng

NARRATIVE REPORT ON FILIPINO VALUES MONTH 2021

Pagkatao, Pakikipagkapuwa at Pananampalataya: Hamon sa

Panahon ng Pandemya” which focuses on how the challenges of Covid-19
Pandemic led to the discovery of meaning of life, strengthen one’s faith that
drives understanding of others, and exercise moral duty and solidarity to
ensure the well-being of others in need.

The cluster’s celebration had it’s culmination program on December 7,

2021 at President Elpidio Quirino National High School.

All the activities undertaken were simple but meaningful. It was

smoothly, safely and successfully done.

Attached herewith are pictures/ evidences in the conduct of

Filipino Values Month.
