‘NO TO CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY’
Treceans condemn extrajudicial killings, urge rule of law

Trece Martires City National High School urged the

Government to observe rule of law and respect of human rights as
they condemned the series of killings in the Duterte
administration’s bloody war against illegal drugs and criminality.
Treceans stressed that Bill of Rights and due process of law
stated in the constitution must be upheld in the government’s anti-
drug campaign not by gunmen on the streets.
“It’s not a good sight for everyone especially for our students
to have daily newspaper’s front pages filled with photos
of dead bodies lying in the streets,” said the principal Constancia
D. Luclucan as she pointed out that the number and manner of
killings could turn out to be crimes against humanity.

Writing the Ending of the News
The ending is often what the readers
remember most about the story. It is so
important that the news writers should know
how to end their stories before they start
writing them.
Many good writers save a good morsel for
the end, perhaps their second best quote.
The most common type of ending is the
“quote ending.” Writers look for a quote that
best sums up the news story.
