2
COLUMNS
A vertical compression member which can
transmit the load from the slab and beam along
with its self-weight to the foundation is called
column.
Type of column : Rectangle & Square

Grade of concrete : M35

Grade of steel : Fe 500

Dia. of steel bars : 16 mm to 32 mm

Lateral ties : 8 mm
3
Dimension : Varies as per the design

Cover : 40 mm

Lapping length : 40 D(dia.)

Removal of Formwork : 1 day

STAIR CASE
A staircase or stairway is one or more flights of stairs
leading from one floor to another, and includes landings,
newel posts, handrails, balustrades and additional parts.

Dia. of Steel Bars : 12 mm

Grade of Concrete : M25

Grade of Steel : Fe 500

Cover : 20 mm

7
Type of staircase : Quarter Turn,
dog-legged

Rise : 6 inches (155mm)

Tread : 9 inches (230mm)

Width of staircase : 5 feet

Pitch : 25 degrees

Removal of Formwork : 14 days

8
BEAMS
A beam is a horizontal structural element that
primarily resists loads applied laterally to the
horizontal axis. The loads applied to the beam
result in reaction forces at the beam’s support
points or columns.

Type of Beams : Rectangle

Grade of Concrete : M 25

Grade of Steel : Fe 500

Dia.of Steel Bars : 12 mm to 20 mm

Stirrups : 8 mm
9
Dimension : varies as per design

Cover : 25 mm

Lapping length : 50 D(dia.)

Removal of Formwork : 21 days

SLABS
Slab is an important structural element which is constructed
to create flat and useful surfaces such as floors, roofs, and
ceilings. It is a horizontal structural component, with top and
bottom surfaces parallel or near so. Commonly, slabs are
supported by beams, columns.

Grade of Concrete : M 25

Grade of Steel : Fe 500

Dia. of steel bars : 8 mm,10 mm

Cover : 20 mm

Thickness : 155 mm or 6 inches

Removal of Formwork : 21 days

FORMWORK
Formwork is a term used for the process of
making a temporary mold in which concrete is
poured and formed. Traditional formwork is
fabricated using timber, but can also be
constructed from steel, glass fiber reinforced
plastic, and other materials.

Type of Formwork : Steel Formwork

Size of Sheets : 2’x3’,18”x3’,1’x3’,9”x3’…

Thickness of Sheets : 3 mm
