SHORTCUT 1
Converting Decimal
to Fraction
1. For faster conversion, convert only the decimal to fraction.
2. To convert decimal, divide the number after the decimal point by
10 or 100 or 1000… The number of 0’s will be equal to the
number of digits after the decimal point.

Example: Convert 5.75 to fraction.

SHORTCUT 4 Converting a Repeating Decimal
Into Fraction (II)
1. Get the repeating digit(s) starting the decimal point.
2. If the number of repeating digits is one, Ex 0.33333…
Repeat Digit is 3.
Then divide the repeating digit by 9
If the number of repeating digits is two. Ex 0.454545…
Repeating Digit is 45.
Divide the repeating digit by 99
