It comprises 8% of the human body weight. An average adult five liters of
blood.
Its main function s are to transport materials and to fight infections.

Is the liquid portion of the blood.
It comprises about 55% of the blood by weight.
Proteins dissolves in the plasma are gamma globulin, albumin, prothrombin,
and fibrinogen.
Corpuscles

The formed elements suspended in the plasma, comprises about 45% of the
blood by weight. There are three formed elements:
Erythrocytes
Leukocytes

Are the red blood cells.
The red color is attributed to the pigment hemoglobin, an iron containing
molecule that can bind with oxygen.
Red blood cells are biconcave in shape, elastic and anucleated.

Compared to the red blood cells, they are not true cells.
Have irregular in shape and their important attribute is they disintegrate

Chemical substances called antigen and antibody are mostly responsible in
blood types.
