 Background of Study

• Security is the degree of protection against danger, loss and criminals. Throughout history,
human have sought to protect their life and property.
• Intrusion detection system, are one of the latest security tools in the battle against an
unauthorised person (thieves) attacks.
• Ghana is a developing country in Africa with population of about 25 million is facing the
challenge of security system. This is because not less than 60% of the population has limited
or no access to security system, hence there is need to stem the security system in the
nation.
• Small scale affordable production of security system with mobile phone alert can be used in
the protection against an intruder as well protecting the house owner in the rural areas.
Aim and Objectives

The following are the objectives of study:

• To design smart controls and electronic system capable of detecting intruders.
• To construct a physical prototype of the system.
• To test the physical model of the system.
 Problem Statement
• Due to the poor security system in the country; Crime rate, robbery attacks,
increasing number of stealing and house breaking cases especially when the people
are not at home.

• Technology system is needed to be proposed. This project we therefore seek to

design and construct an intruder detector with cell phone notification and alarm
that will intelligently detect unauthorized person and protect lives and properties.
 Methodology
The system specification shows the description of the function and the performance of
system and the user. The scope of project, global system for mobile communication (GSM)
mobile phone and motion sensors circuit to control security system with alarm and mobile
phone alert is immerse. The future implications of the project are very great considering the
security it provides and life it saves.
The system will include the followings materials and ways its can be
built. This includes;
