One of the most famous and prolific
inventors of all time, Thomas Alva
Edison exerted a tremendous influence
on modern life, contributing
inventions such as the incandescent
light bulb, the phonograph, and the
motion picture camera, as well as
improving the telegraph and
telephone.

CHILDHOOD
• His family soon moved to Port
Huron, Michigan where he spent
most of his childhood. Surprisingly,
he did not do well in school and
ended up being home schooled by
his mother. Thomas was an
enterprising young man, selling
vegetables, candy and newspapers
on trains.

• Edison had very little formal
education as a child, attending
school only for a few months.
He was taught reading, writing,
and arithmetic by his mother,
but was always a very curious
child and taught himself much
by reading on his own.

• Thomas edison is a great inventor he
invented things that we use until now
he's inventions changed the whole
world one of them is that he discovered
the light bulb he also has more
inventions like the phonograph,
motion pictures, and the
Electrographic vote recorder he also
discoverd the electrical-power
distrebution system some of the
awards he won are Rumford Prize,
Albert Medal, and the Congressional
Gold Meda.l
THOMAS EDISON DEATH
• Tomas Adison's death He suffered
from diabetes and lapsed into a
coma then died at 18th of October
1931 in Glenmont, in West Orange,
New Jersey. According to several
sources Adison emerged from a
comma, opened his eyes looked
upwards and said "It's very
beautiful over there." and these
were his last words.
