REGULAR VERBS
• A regular verb is one that conforms to
the usual rule for forming its simple past
• tense.
Add -ed for regular verbs.

• I cooked for my mother last week.


• We studied about chapter one for the quiz
last night.
• Yesterday, I played football with my team
member.
WHAT ARE IRREGULAR
VERBS?
• Irregular verbs are verbs that don’t take on the
regular –d,-ed, or -ied spelling patterns of the
past simple (V1) or past participle (V2).
• Many the irregular V1 and V3 forms are the
same, such as: cut –cut, had –had, let – let,
hurt – hurt, fed – fed, sold - sold
EXAMPLES OF IRREGULAR VERB

• Awake-awoke, bite-bitten, bleed-bleed


- I awoke to find that a spider had bitten me. Although
the wound didn’t bleed, it itched terribly.
• Drink-drank, find-found
- Let’s drink some of this lemonade. I drank some
yesterday and found it delicious.
• Build-built
- I want to build a sand castle like the one we built
last year
GAME ON!
How To Play?
1.There will be one person selected to start the game for each
round.
2.This selected person must pull a strip of paper from the container
available.
3.This person will then need to act silently without using any voice
base on the regular or irregular verb written on the paper strip
within one minute.
4.A marker pen will be provided and while acting, this person are
allow to draw only one clue on the whiteboard to help the
other student guess what is the exact verb written on the paper
strip.
5.If any of the student in the class manage to guess the verb
correctly, there will be special reward await them. BUT if there is no
student are able to guess the verb within one minute, this person
will be fined.
6.Each round will continuously begin after 1 minute until the time's
up.
