yourself but also first and foremost on how you

keeping good grooming practices.

 It shows that you respect yourself so thers will
respect you
 It helps you relate with others

 It makes you look and feel good

Body/Physical Care
1. Taking a bath – Bathing ensures a clean body.
Accumulated body wastes are best taken off
when thorough cleansing of the body is done.
Proper Bathing
1. Wet your body with clean water.
2. Apply the lather the bath soap or body wash onto
your whole body.
3. You may use a small towel to scrub your face,
neck, arms, legs and other parts of your body.
4. Rinse your body thoroughly with water.
5. After rinsing, dry yourself with a clean bath
towel.
6. You may apply body powder for a fresh and
pleasant smell.
7. Put on clean underwear and clothes.
2. Washing hands and feet – The hands are most
prone to dirt while the feet are among the most
neglected parts of the body. You should always
remember to keep them clean.
Proper Washing and Caring of Hands and
Feet
1. Use clean water and soap to wash your hands
or feet.
2. Lather and rub your hands/feet with soap.
Scrub each finger or toe gently.
3. To clean your nails, use a soft brush.
4. After rinsing your hands or feet, use
absorbent towel for drying.
5. Use a nail cutter to trim your nails. Do not
bite your fingernails.
6. When cutting the toenails, cut them straight
across to prevent ingrown. Soak your feet in
warm, soapy water and clean your nails with a
soft brush.
