Researcher says fast or unhealthy diet is the
cause of one in five deaths "This study
confirms what many have suspected for
several years – that poor diet is responsible
for more deaths than any other risk factor in
the world," Christopher Murray, director of
the Institute of Metrics and Health
Evaluation at the University of Washington.
WHAT IS AN UNHEALTHY DIET???
Unhealthy foods are various types or
food ingredients that contain
unbalanced nutrition. This type of food
should not be consumed in excess.
Generally, unhealthy foods contain
only a few substances and a small
amount of fiber that is needed for the
body's development.
STEP TO HEALTHY EATING
1.Eat a nutritious diet based on a variety of foods originating mainly from
plants, rather than animals.
2.Eat a variety of vegetables and fruit (at least 400g per day).
3.Maintain body weight between the recommended limits (a BMI of 18.5–25) .
4.Control fat intake (not more than 30% of daily energy)
5.Replace fatty meat and meat products with beans, legumes, lentils, fish,
poultry or lean meat.
6.Use milk and dairy products that are low in both fat and salt.
7.Choose a low-salt diet. Total salt intake should not be more than one
teaspoon (5g) per day, including the salt in bread and processed, cured and
preserved foods.
8.Prepare food in a safe and hygienic way. Steam, bake, boil or microwave to
help reduce the amount of added fat.

DUE TO POOR DIET
Eating habits at inconsistent times can disrupt circadian rhythms. Indirectly, this habit will also interfere
with the activity of the digestive system and metabolism.Various studies have shown that inconsistent
eating habits can lead to various disorders listed below.
1. Digestive disorders
Irregular eating can lower the thermal effects of the food you eat. The thermal effect is the energy you use
to digest and absorb nutrients.
2. Hormonal changes
Inconsistent eating habits can disrupt the hormonal balance in the body.Your body then releases the
hormone cortisol in response to that “danger” signal. An increase in the hormone cortisol can
interfere with various biological activities of the body, such as metabolism, inflammation, and
regulation of blood sugar.
3. Weight gain
A study in the journal Nutrients found that irregular eating habits can affect weight. People who are used
to this are even more prone to weight gain than people who eat regularly.
4. Increased blood sugar levels
Every time you finish eating, the pancreas releases insulin to stabilize blood sugar.
5. Stomach cramps
A person who often eats irregularly is more prone to stomach cramps. Usually, this complaint arises due
to disorders of the stomach such as gastric acid reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers, stomach
infections, and so on.
