social networking is a great means of communication. It is quick, easy, and simple. We are more

Disadvantages of the media include that it can result in the spread of misinformation and the

development of bad values. Social media can be a distraction for some students. Students may be

distracted from their school work and the teachers will have no option of knowing which student

pays attention. Social media also makes children a target for predators and hackers. It also leads to

cyberbullying which affects any person significantly. -GRACE

Learning a new language

A big fat thanks to now technologies, now there are social Medias that can teach you the language
you want to learn just download and open it. You don't need to travel from one place to another
just to learn their language. Me myself have once learnt Korean and Japanese. Trust me, it is so
helpful, simple and quick. Plus you don’t have to pay. How great is that! I recommend it. -

The lacks of emotional connection

You don't know how exactly someone is feeling when you can only see the words they typed. For
example, you and your friend had a fight and they told all the feeling about you. Now that you've
seen their texts but you didn't see what they really meant. Was it really truthful? Or they just want to
fool you. This might lead to broken relationship or friendship.- WINNI

Hateful speech

After gaining haters from attention-seeking or any other bad experiences while using social media, a person gets depressed this
might probably lead to suicide. According to my research, suicide is the third leading cause of death among youth. Victims of
bullying are more likely to consider suicide. The issue of such small things, like comments or feedbacks, can make a person

Laziness

Social media causes laziness because instead of going to your friend’s place, you can just text them. Or instead
of walking upstairs to notify the family that the dinner’s ready, you can call them or message them. Social
networking makes life so easy that it creates laziness. In my opinion social media is okay but using social media
to make your life way more easier is not. You gotta take the stairs instead of the elevator. “It’s really easy to
spend hours doing nothing. It’s a fantastic way to waste time.” - WINNI

Distraction

When people have their phone out, it make them feel like nothing else is going on around them. people use social media as a
way to feel popular, important, and also just to fit in. My friends and I always compare ourselves to each other, wondering who
has more Facebook friends or Twitter followers. But what really ends up happening is I begin to talk less and end up relying
on text for a conversation. Ever since I got a smartphone I have been distracted from everything. I watch television less, do
homework less, and even spend less time with my friends and family. - WINNI

When it comes to our union, social media is a powerful tool to communicate to the
outside world about struggles faced by members and people in our communities. It’s

Social media refers to the means of interactions among people in which they create,
share, and/or exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks.
The Office of Communications and Marketing manages the main Facebook, Twitter,

 How is using Social Media bad for you?
Most people use social media a lot they get addicted to the usage of it. They’re
always busy scrolling the social media newsfeed and posting to it. The addition
of social media cut off people from society and from the real world. They didn’t
want to see the real world that what is happened around them. It can disturb the

Social media is one of the few marketing strategies that allow you to connect
